How's the revolution going? There's revolts in Algeria aswell right?
Exactly, we've got something ridiculous like 40% unemployment and the most corrupt politicians on the planet, but the people in this country are too pampered to stand up and be counted. That's what happens when you go from being a third world country to an economic powerhouse on the back of non-existant money in three decades, I suppose.Still Waiting wrote:at least they have the guts to start a revolution, we've 20% of unemployment and rising, I really want to get the fuck out of here
Not to mention the scots make better whiskey than you so there's a big loss in exported goods.fergal41 wrote:Exactly, we've got something ridiculous like 40% unemployment and the most corrupt politicians on the planet, but the people in this country are too pampered to stand up and be counted. awesome vidFuckT41182 wrote:punk-rock had the power to change the world, now punk-rock is barely breathing and so nobody is there to lead people to rise against the politics...
where are those times when people were ready to sacrifice everything to make this world a better place...in a way, this new pop music that took over the music industry, may destroy the world ...it is cool to say that music used to be the source of riots ,but not that cool to say that Lady Gaga and Justin are the most famous shit out there these days ...
this girl is awesome
I know there still are attempts , but seriously, can you compare it to the times when there was all this punk-rock music and everyone who listened to it had it all in heart ?? I know Ska-P,I really do...but how many people care about them ? there were times when music was much more powerful ...Still Waiting wrote:I don't agree with what you say bout music, there's reivindicative(?) music, tons, though I haven't heard much of it in english
Dude it's not only punk rock, let's call it just musci kay??cos you know pretty much every music genre can be reivindicative, music is a way to express yourself, but just singing bout how fucked up we are won't fix it either, though i agree that it might helpFuckT41182 wrote:I know there still are attempts , but seriously, can you compare it to the times when there was all this punk-rock music and everyone who listened to it had it all in heart ?? I agree...all I say is that comparing times of 2011 with times that belonged to Rancid,The Ramonnes,The Clash,Against Me,Propagandhi,Minor Threat,Operation Ivy,Refused,The Vandals,Sick of it All,Poison Idea and more is shitStill Waiting wrote:Dude it's not only punk rock, let's call it just musci kay??cos you know pretty much every music genre can be reivindicative, music is a way to express yourself, but just singing bout how fucked up we are won't fix it either, though i agree that it might help
And yeah Ska-P is quite popular over here, not mainstream but still pretty famous

Ah they more than likely will. I just like telling people I'm going to Egypt next week - makes me feel like a big man.2712 wrote:^ if the cruise company was smart, they'd avoid stopping in that area.
