hey i have this discussion with my friends alot because i love the simpsons i have seen everyone up too date. (make fun of me go ahead although im not fat) but my friends all seem to think family guy and south park are so much better. but i always have something to say to that because both family guy and south park have taken their basic source material from the simpsons and there is no denying it and im sure most people will agree with me. i wanna know everyone's opinion on this.

Simpsons and South Park are completely different so stop comparing em. While Family Guy and Simpsons are pretty similar since they are both aired on Fox and both deal with family issues.

it's cute that all three of them keep dissing each other in some episodes. i watch all three but i still love simpsons the most. all three are funny in their own way.

yeah i suppose but it still has the kind of family portion of it but whatever i guess your right and yeah i didnt figure in american dad

simpsons is legendery and has lots of silly bits in the background like posters that people miss

south park is outragous and brill a dont see how they get away with it

its the television equivalent of Disaster Movie etc.

South Park remains original in every episode and mocks everything, including itself.
its actually one of the most genius shows on tv - if you think its just a bunch of dick and fart jokes, you couldnt be more wrong.

that said, all three shows have gotten worse over the years.

1.Family Guy
2.The Simpsons
3.South Park

They're All great though.

It has to be family guy, the problem with the Simpsons is that it was viewed for all ages, unlike family guy which was for mainly adults and teenagers, this is why I prefer Family Guy to all of them.

South Park makes me laugh.
Simpsons doesn't.

Simpsons used to be my favorite up until season 11 or 12, thats when their writers got lazy and they didn't put any effort into it. Last Exit to Springfield is by far the best episode ever. Every joke is perfectly written and it all fits together nicely.

Family Guy used to be good in the first 3-4 seasons, but it went down the shitter. It's so damn repetitive that its not even fun to watch.

South Park is pure genius though. Matt and Trey have an actual plot and the jokes revolve around it. With Family Guy you can insert one of their random scenes into any show and it will still work. Thats why South Park made fun of Family Guy with the writers of Family Guy being manatees choosing the scenes based on balls with random words...because thats what it seems like. Thats all it is "It's like that time (Insert repetitive clip)"

I'll watch an old Simpsons anyday over a Family Guy episode.
