True Love Died

My first song I've written in an age.
Hope you enjoy it
-----------------------
Settle down I'll tell a story
Of a guy who could've been me
Was writing of stars falling from above
And of course he knew he should
He had to tell the whole world
Of a crazy little game he played called love
Of a time when things were easy
And just anything could please me
When I saw the wind running through your hair
And they say it’s just a feeling
But to me it’s got more meaning
Than that diamond-crusted ring I've seen you wear
Don't believe what they say
True love died yesterday
I don't want to believe
But I can't look away
In the city that sleeps
In the night more than day
I am hoping that someday
I'll know what to say
If you hear somebody calling
Please believe it’s not a warning
Someone’s dying of a broken heart down here
And if you tell me that you’re frightened
That one day your life just might end
I'll still hold you close forever you my dear
Don't believe what they say
True love died yesterday
I don't want to believe
But I can't look away
In the city that sleeps
In the night more than day
I am hoping that someday
I'll know what to say
Maybe someday you will tell me
There’s a million songs already
That sound all the same and this is just one more
But I don’t care about you
And of all the shit we've been through
Because no-ones ever felt like me before
Don't believe what they say
True love died yesterday
I don't want to believe
But I can't look away
In the city that sleeps
In the night more than day
I am hoping that someday
I'll know what to say
Don't believe what they say
True love died yesterday
I don't want to believe
But I can't look away
In the city that sleeps
In the night more than day
I am hoping that someday
I'll know what to say
Hope you enjoy it
