I was having a read at mant threads and I found it funny how US and UK use the same lanugage but different versions.

Like color in UK is colour

Mom in UK is Mum

And Pissed in the UK is another way to say drunk

Pants in the UK are a type of Underwear,

Trousers is UK for pants

Also football in Brittian is different, it's Soccer in US

Is it only me what finds this funny

lol, the "colour" thing also goes for Canadians.

There's also "jumpers", which means "sweaters" in the UK.

most of those are the same for aussie to US comparisons... except the last one goes the other way we use soccer instead of football...

in the US 'thongs' are g-strings in australia 'thongs' are flip-flops

Nope... Not really... I attend to a brtish school... must be becuase of that.

its the other way round for me.

in US its chips, in UK its crisps
in UK its chips, in US its fries

australia: soft drink america:soda
Australia:mum america:mom
Australia:hot chips america:fries
Australia:lollies america:candy
Australia:holiday america:vacation
Australia:ball america:prom
Australia:blink one eight two america:blink one eighty two
Australia:mobile phone america:cell phone

And also sort of misconception do you mean same word but different spelling...or same object but different word???

funny, but they have many things different actually...

Nah, up in Scotland he don't usually say soft drink of anything like it's the name of the brand or juice, one of the two
