underclass hero.....(not bad)

Post by sum54184 »

HI guys,
i've heard alot of people since i joined tns talking about how bad underclass hero is
for me i don't think it's this bad 'cause they change their style
And alot of people are worry about the new album cause it won't be like chuck and DTLI
yeah it won't be like them 'cause deryck and sum 41 never tried to copy something they did before
as far as for underclass hero it was an awsome album let's see
walking disaster >>> great song
with me >>>>>>>> great song
underclass hero >>>> great song
count your last blessing >>>>> great song
dear father >>> yeah it's so personal but it's a great song
so long goodbye >>>>> cool song
king of contradiction >>>>> the best
pull the curtain >>>>> one of the best
confusion and frustration in modern times >>>> great one
speak of the devil >>>>>> good song
best of me >>>>>>>>>> great song also
ma poudelle >>>>>> funny song
march of the dogs >>>> great (green day took that name)
jester >>>>> it's good song
look at me >>> that's the only song that make's me sick

what we get here is 13 great song out of 14
that's mean underclass hero rocks
It just a sad song

Underclass Hero was epic, but the only problem was that it got boring really fast, and that you had to give most of the songs more than one listen before you started to like them, witch is probabally why it didn't do so well.

I though it was a good album
My only problem with it was the lack of creativity in the guitars and bass, it was all so simple on most of the songs

simply putting the words "great song" or "good song" right beside the name doesn't actually make them what you state they are. it'd be great if you could give a little more reasons why their great other then beating around the bush.

yea, the guitar sounded the same on every song.
------------------------------------------------------------------------

I was not thrilled with UH, but I didn't absolutely hate it. I did not like how personal it was, I thought some songs were not good, for example...
Dear Father-personal, and kinda boring
Ma Poubelle-bad song, and not like their usual short songs
Pull The Curtain-bounces around way too much, and has too many different beats and tunes to follow
March of the Dogs-WAY too political, and I hate political songs
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
I like punk songs that have a good, fast rythm to break stuff to.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
....and also, I think the piano in most of the songs made UH sound weak, I don't like piano mixed with punk.

im not gonna lie, UH got me into sum 41, walking disaster particulary, but now after hearing all their songs for the past year and a half, I like all their other songs better than the ones on UH.
Children of the beast embrace,
To scorn and the human race,
Consume the light that hugs the earth,
And aid the womb in giving birth,
To a group that will appear,
And guide you through this final year,
The dark armies then will come,
When the sum is 41

lol I love how you say almost every song is great. I'm not complaining, but it would be better if you went into more detail why. I would do that, but I'm in class right now and I'm kinda tired. Anyway yeah I love Underclass Hero too. Anything made by Sum 41 is great!

I gotta say after listening count your last blessings over 1000 times and other songs easily over 800 times, I prefer UH over other albums. UH and Chuck are only sum 41 albums that I always listen without skipping any song (including bonus tracks).

Deryck has put great effort to UH, especially backing vocals. This is the album where Deryck shows that he really can sing.

and VERY BIG PLUS goes to: Mixing and mastering

It's usually when I listen to UH that I skip songs. All the other records I can listen the whole way through. I actually preferd Derycks vocals on the earlier records.

Calling a song a great song doesn't exactly prove your point.
