put twitter, lastfm etc on myspace? you see all these bands now with just the logo and they link to them. how do i do it? also, how do i put a banner at the top of the page?

I don't know how to do the banner one, but I'll look for it. And I do know how to do the links(:
So it depends on how you want it to show up. If you want it to be a picture you click, you can use:
<a href="The URL you want to lead to">What you want the link to be called</a>
And if you want it to be just a link, you can use:
<a href="The URL you want to lead to"><img src="The image URL"></a>
