new photos have been added! these pics are from the night i performed a couple of cover songs with some friends at the key club in LA. it was a great night. we played elvis costello, david bowie, and the stones songs. then steel panther played a really great set after. it was fun night of rockin and drinkin. check em out!

That's the Joe Strummer signature guitar.

Wasn't he playing a different guitar (I think its a Washburn) in the other pics and video posted on the TNS main page? there he's also wearing different clothes, so maybe those are two different nights... weird.

Does anyone know why he uses that guitar instead of his signature?

Maybe cuz his signature sucks and he just uses it in Sum 41 shows to promote it XD
Kidding, dunno really, his Squire signature he used really to promote it a few times, but the actual Fender sig is pretty cool.

I agree that his siganture sucks. But why make it in the first place then?

For making money i guess. If he would make an actual Fender sig, that would be cool.

like half of the money goes to War Child when you buy D's Squire. Just as long as he is playing a guitar I'm happy..lol

Well, then the Squier was really made for making money, but at least for a good cause :D

It would be a better cause if they got money from aguitar that sounds good.

Yeah that is a kickass guitar. I love it how it all looks worn out and burnt down, it looks so vintage. I might get myself this one if i'm getting a tele.

Yeah, I wanted to get one too a while back. The only thing that stopped me from getting it was my four other Telecasters. So I decided to get the Les Paul Jr. instead, haha.

Deryck goes to and plays at Key Club constantly. There's evidence of him playing there (twice with Steel Panther) a good 3 or 4 times.

yeah he only played the squire live for marketing purposes, its not very good in fact he never really used it live, he used his "real fender" telecaster, just made to look like the squire so everyone would go buy it. pretty great marketing technique. anyways yeah i love that telecaster, glads hes back to using it, it seems more damaged then before, what does he do to them?

He's playing the Joe Strummer Signature Telecaster in those pictures. Though I'm sure there's some manual wear and tear on this other guitars, like using sandpaper or something to give it that road-worn look.
