Guitar sounds out of tune, not the right chords. Nice voice.

whatever I'm just thrilled that I can play it cause its my fave sum song, fuck what everyone else says
and my guitar might have been out of tune I played it for an hour straight, and the chords came from the best of tab book:

i thought it was ok. you definatly changed it alot. (which is cool) why didn't you use bar chords? are those to hard to play on acoustic? the chords you used work, but i think bar chords would sound better.

I just used what was in the book, I can't figure out what he plays live cause it always pulls away from his hands when I need to see it. and the ultimate guitar tabs suck. I'll probably get better at it, but I was working on this song for like half the day so I just wanted to show you guys, not get blasted

in the book its: Dm, Badd9, F, C(onE) then Bb, F C for the chorus

oh im not blasting it, it thought it was pretty good. i think the reason they thought its bad is because the vocals are so different from the original song.
and yeah i was just curious about why you used those chords. like i said, the ones you used worke, but i think bar chords are better. if you want i can give you the bar tabs? some of the tabs from ultimat guitar are ok. you just need to try them out befor you use them.

Is Badd9 the same as Bbsus2? I've got the Chuck book and it's slightly different than what you have. But it's played in Drop D right?

Dm, Bbsus2, F5, C/E is the verse
Bbsus2, F5, C/E is the chorus

- You haven't tuned to dropped d, so wrong chords
- You can't ever sing that low notes, so you should change chords
- You are girl, you can't sing like deryck (who is man!)

You can sing some of them with chords that deryck use, but if you change key(don't know if it's right word) you can sing every song

(You should be able to sing So Long Goodbye for example)

I really like your cover Heather, It's not perfect, but what i love the most about it is that it doesn't sound like every other cover on Youtube, yours is different, and different means good.
Your vocals are getting better every time, which is awesome, i liked the depth in this one, it seemed like it means something to you.
I know that Nic is great with the guitar, so him not liking your cover maybe understandable, but i'm very happy with your cover, infact i couldn't be happier.

thanks madjid you're sweet. I'm going to try it again when I get batteries for my camera, hopefully by then I'll get all the rough stuff fixed. I knew my voice wouldn't sound right singing how Deryck does so I searched a bit found that performance and went from there.
I might have over reacted a bit to the comments but I had been working on that song for like half the day and it was disapointing when I saw the comments, so sorry for that.
I know So Long Goodbye, maybe I'll give that one a shot. I've been working on Some Say because I watched the guitar video with Deryck and Dave and Deryck showed the chords.
