New Journal - January 15, 2009

What's crackin' dudes?
Just wanted to give you another update as to what The Sums are up to. Last week I went over to Deryck's house to listen to some new tunes and work on some stuff, but we ended up having one to many beverages and our productive meeting ended with me passed out on the couch and Deryck passed out on the floor in the next room. Some things never change... A house with 5 bedrooms and neither of us were capable of making it to one of them = Professional. Musicians.
Anyway, the new stuff sounds really cool and I've been practicing for the past few days to get ready for another recording session on Tuesday. I think we're doing two songs. To prepare, I'm going to go on a cleanse of sorts - no booze for one whole meal a day, some probiotics dissoved in the hip-hop vitamin water of my choice (I prefer the kind owned by that guy who was shot) and then maybe I'll soak in the tub for a few hours.
As you can see we're very busy. Check back soon for more awesome updates.

awesome, they're recording more songs (should be a full album now) he's going back in to record at least 2 more songs. awesome!

Well, I mean, guys, there's no way its an EP now, although those 2 songs might be those two new songs Deryck told us in his last update and now Stevo is just gonna record drums for them, but even so, they already recorded bass and drums for like 6-7 songs, making it that they have already like 8-9 songs ready and tons of what Deryck wrote, so now way its gonna be an EP now... thats good news. Its actually cool that they all update us haha, Deryck on the myspace, Steve on the official site, and Cone just answers every random question on his myspace :D

all what they gonna do is adding 3-4 more songs

Though 3 of them were no more than two minutes (THT was only 40 seconds or something, other two were instrumentals).
Also, nice to know they're getting drunk.

Nice to have an update once again. I hope that the new album will come out before summer, so I can listen to it all summer long 8)

apparently they've recorded 6/7 songs (or so you guys say), but Derycks says thjaqt their still onl in the writting phase.

Well, I guess he means that he haven't finished writing yet although Steve said he recorded like drums for 6-7 songs and then it was said that Cone also recorded bass for like 6 songs, but I guess that means that was the inital planning (for the EP I guess) but then Deryck probably decided to keep writing for a full length.
