1) he doesn't tilt his guitar and he activates starpower instanly as he gets it.
2) he hits every note. even if he presses the select button for star power, no one can hit the select button and get every note of TtFaF at the same time.

but, the main reason i think it could be real is that when the guitar part stops, you see the other buttons being pressed, and not strummed. (0:53)
