just a suggestion. maybe we could get more threads going in the musicians section of the board if we split it into sections for guitarists, bassists, and drummers. i think this would attract more people as they wouldn't need to filter through the very broad 'musicians' section. they could go straight into discussions about specific songs or players, etc. i just think it'd be a good idea and stimulate some more discussion. it'd be great for all guitairists/bassists/drummers to unite with their counterparts too, and not have to go through the 'What do you play?' thread to see who else on the board plays their instrument!

Yea, I like it, although we'd probably need to keep a general one for people who don't play guitar/bass/drums.

it's not a bad idea, but as mentioned above; there are people that don't just play guitar/bass/drums. if that were to be done, there would have to be a "other instruments" forum as well.

every section does not need to be split up into sub forums. Musicians covers MUSICIANS.

It's a good idea, but I don't think there's enough members to really do it. Most members here either play multiple instruments, or just guitar.

yeah. obviously we don't want to exclude people. but i think it's a good idea. i don't see what's wrong wuth sub-forumming this. no harm...

Yeah, sub-forums seems like too much, most people here do play guitar or guitar AND something else. Not enough members for such 3 or more sub-forums. On the other hand, instrument field in the profile could be pretty cool.

of course people play more than one instrument. but i guess my point is, it makes it easier when you're searching for tabs for example. and we could talk about specific musicians in each thread... having just 'others' or 'instruments' doesn't really make that work.
