SUM 41 GET YOUR ASSES OVER HERE! ... please ;[ i kno all those singers and stuff dont play exactly what Sum 41 do.. but still. Iron Maiden come here almost each year i think too...

i know. but i guarantee you that these shows, if confirmed, will sell out. sure, they won't be die hard sum fans for the most part, but everyone who saw fall out boy, simple plan, my chemical romance... they'll all come to the show. they just don't realise that sum 41 is way cooler than those other bands and shouldn't even be compared with them!

i'll let you guys know when i hear back from their management.

sorry, you gotta talk to your team in malaysia. you guys gotta understand that your country is the one which chooses which bands to tour there, not the bands themselves. i'm organising this on behalf of a promoter in manila, that i work for. but see, sometimes promoters coordinate together. if you know any malaysian promoters you can give me their contact details and i can talk to them to join our deal. but to make it more viable we should have contacts in hong kong too, perhaps to extend their SEA route, since they only play singapore in SEA.

thanks phil. it is cool, but it can be a let down sometimes. what we basically do is pitch the band an offer, and basically, if we are offering them enough money, they take up the offer and come do a show for us. last august we did make a pitch but we got rejected for the one off shows we wanted (if the band were doing an asian tour, they could've accepted it). but now, we've reworked the budget and updgraded it a bit, so hopefully they reconsider and accept. but we can't really be optimistic, cause it's hard to compare the offers being made from developed countries and developing countries. say for example, we could never match what japan or singapore could pitch to them. we still need luck on our side!

sorry guys this is a no go. unfortunately due to Punk Spring's confirmation in early April it isn't logistically ideal for the band to be back in Asia exactly three weeks later. since the PULP Summer Slam 9 festival is on a fixed date as well, it cannot rescheduled closer to Punk Spring. we are now looking for a new band. perhaps we will try again with the sums if the boys get invited to play Summer Sonic in August. if not, then we'll wait for their next Japanese tour. their agent andy will keep in touch with me.
