I don't really keep up with videogames to know enough about which ones to get besides the ones my friends always talk about or the ones I already know I want.
I already have: Assasin's Creed, Call of Duty 4, Grand Theft Auto 4, Devil May Cry 4, Metal Gear Solid 4, Guitar Hero 3, and Skate.
I know for sure I'll be getting Call of Duty: World at War. I don't know if I want to get Guitar Hero: World Tour anytime soon though, because I basically just bought GH3 like, two weeks ago. Are there any games I should be looking out for?

I'd say Elders Scrolls Oblivion is a gold'noldy! I gave me hours and days of fun on my ps3.
And Mirrors Edge is going to be amazing too

Resistance 2 just came out, and it's like the PS3 competition towards Gears of War 2. It's an amazing game, and the guy on this site named Jay182 could probably hold a conversation with you about his views on the game.
Little Big Planet is another great game. I don't know much about it, but I know a lot of people over on PD are raving about it.
Killzone 2 doesn't come out until February, but that is a must have. It is supposedly a lot like Call of Duty mixed with Gears of War in the online version of the game... which is pretty tight.
I'm getting all three of these games at some point. I also suggest the latest NHL game, NHL 09, if you like hockey. It's been called the best sports game ever up to this point.

my cousin told me to sell my GtaIV at GAME(game shop which is awesome )and buy little big planet or mirror edge (both second handed cos it's cheaper and GAMe's is ftw when it comes to second handed )

GH4 is definetly better than GH3. besides the awesome songs, fully customizable everything, velocity-sensitive wireless drum pads with elevated cymbals, and slider guitar; you can make and play you're own songs.

I was at Best Buy buying my games and I saw the packages for Guitar Hero: World Tour. But, the box was tiny. Where the heck do you get the drums and stuff?

Okay, cause the only boxes I saw were slim ones 3/4 the size of GH3.
