^ ya im kinda sensing that too. maybe a Deryck and Avril album.

i dont think its wrong for them(deryck and avril) to record together, but it seems like hes spending too much time doing it. i just hope he doesn't loose focus on sum 41.

i just finished watching the making of underclass hero
and he might be doing what he did for u.c.h
he might be making demos of the new songs for sum 41?
it doesn't say they are recording together right?
i remember heaing on here sometime after with me video was released that they've already started writing some new stuff

i agree with king of jesters. nothing wrong with them recording together at all, and it's probably also giving Deryck some ideas for new Sum 41 songs. i highly doubt he'll lose his focus with Sum 41.

and not that it's a big deal, but did anyone else notice the article said "Deryck joined Avril on stage so the two could sing 'her' hit song 'In Too Deep' as an encore." HER hit song lol? last time i checked, 'In Too Deep' belonged to Sum 41

It won't.
It's completely different cases. Yoko fucked up The Beatles because everyone wrote songs there and having her around all the time prevented them from being creative. Here, Deryck's practically the only one who writes songs so I don't really see damage coming from that area.
Even if Deryck spends a lot of time with Avril (which is normal, considering she is his wife), he doesn't involve her into his own band's work like John involved Yoko with The Beatles and his own solo work.

I think it's pretty cool. The songs Deryck produced on her last album were some of the best imo, so I'd love to hear more of that kind.

seriously no more avril and deryck songs please , i love her and his music but i hated8kay i din't hate it but...) what they did together i mean the best damn thing is full of rubbish i only like 4 songs , yeah go ahead avril fans tell me that's a happy cd , tell me that i'm not a good fan just cos i'm critic with her work

THE BEATLES ARE AMAZING!

Stop panicking, guys. Deryck and Avril recorded together for their last albums too. Deryck was there for and involved with the recording of 2 of Avril's songs, and Deryck recorded the vocals for Underclass Hero at home (which means it's pretty safe to say that Avril was hangin' about).

I hope avril gives some piano tips to deryck! I really really hope there is many piano tracks on next record

^Avril and Deryck are definitely pretty much on the same level piano-wise.
