windows 07?

If heard that a new windows system thing will be released in 09 called windows 07. I know vista is absolutely shit (well for me anyway) but why are they releasing one so soon and why is it called 07?

First of all it not Windows 07, it's Windows 7 and it is because it is a working name.

Windows NT4
Windows 2000 [AKA Windows 5]
Windows XP [AKA Windows 5.1]
Windows Vista [AKA Windows 6]

Accoring to MS Windows 7 is an upgrade more than anything designed to fix the memory issues that Vista has amongst other things.

Honestly if you don't believe me, do this

Open up your documents (or any folder) click [Help] -> [About Windows]
And it will come up Windows Version 6 [I'm running Vista]

Kind of, it's the 7th Version of the Windows NT Series, based on NTFS.

Windows 95, 98, ME are all DOS based and are not counted.
