iPod "Random Pauses"

whenever I play my iPod through the radio using my itrip, it pauses on its own veryyyy randomly. and it does this a lot. is my iPod broken or breaking? do I need a new one? has anyone never even heard of this problem before lol? someone please help because I'm getting aggravating having to keep hitting play when it pauses while I'm driving.

no reason to. it's definitely the iPod. I plugged it in to my brother's iHome to listen to music while doing hw, and it still paused. idk wut the friggin problem is.....

i mean if you press it down, does it pop back up?
if thats the case, i'd take it to an authorized ipod repair dude.
