Really, the post count requirement leads to a lot of spam. It brings noobs down to a level where posting uselessly is acceptable. I read these forums a lot, but hey, if I don't have anything to add to the discussion, I won't.

The reason the media sections require 200 posts to enter is because we don't want people coming on to this forum to just leech media. I am a strong supporter on the 200 post lock. I suggested the idea. With the lock, it prevents people that don't post to come on here and just steal a bunch of media. This isn't the only site with a lock on the media section. I'm sure if you went to enough forums you'd see quite a bit of them with a lock.

You can say that the guy doesn't contribute to this forum... but at least he's an active poster. I'm sure he has at least 200 good posts.

Just start posting more. You'll realize that 200 posts isn't that hard to get.
