is pissing me off!!

how the hell does anybody keep a band together?!?! I mean it always something. Our singer didnt show up for the last practice because her alarm didn't go off, but she did set it (*cough*bullshit*cough*). She doesnt seem to like our bassist because i guess he called her blonde. our drummer never seems to have time to do anything. the bassist is to lazy to learn anything new, and he booked us a gig without telling us so we had to fucking cancel it because we werent ready. everybody seems to have different music tastes. i'm the only one who wants to play sum 41 and greenday. our bassists doesnt really seem to be intrested in music but just the idea of it(if you know what i mean).
I mean what the fuck do i do. its so hard to keep everything strait in a band, and all i really want to do is play music but its so hard to find anybody who is as intrested as i am, or has the same intrests etc...
advice?

IMO, theres no real point in staying with a band that you dont enjoy. thats what it comes down to at the end of the day.
try finding some other people who are into the same music as you and maybe you could start another band with them, if you want

I know how you feel. Even if I can find people who play instruments (kinda), noone seems to care enough to be in a band. They just like the idea of being in a band but they don't take it seriously. Like Budgie said, if you're not enjoying yourself quit. Cuz musicians play music because they like to, not because they have to.

Which is why a lot of mainstream bands or artists aren't musicians

Appearently there's no team spirit in your band, which is very important, once you stop acting individually and start being a band, everything will come together.

It was a huge mistake to join people that are not into the same kinda music as you, it will suck sooner or later (Take Dave as an example) it will be a waste of time.

There's some guy in Youtube called: oskr705 he's from Mexico ( that's him http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=GkASp9Q8VH0 ), we were both very sad about the exact same thing that's happening with you, so we decided to start an online band, since he's in a total different continent, so i was like sending him lyrics, and he puts guitar on them, then i try to sing them... We had lots of fun last summer, it didn't go anywhere bcoz of the timing differences, but it was a lot better than a shitty band

My point is

Here's the real problem with your band.
You have a female vocalist.

Have I ever been careful with what I said to anyone?
The answer is no, and so is my answer to being careful with what I say to your n00b.
I win.

maybe you have a fault that others don't like? i dunno, call a practise and sit down and talk about everyone's faults, and what they can do to fix them. if you solve everything, good. if you can't, quit.
