FTWWW. i didn't know you listened to BB. but ya, what he said lol.CIRCUITzach wrote:BB's ;atest cd is pretty tight
But to be honest, all of their cd's are great. srsly, they all have great songs and a great flow. but tbh, i think their latest was their worst. but its stil great. Listen to "We Are Not Alone". Its one of the best cd's I've ever heard. and its my lost listened to one lol. then try their first "Saturate" THEN try "Phobia" i'd say. tell me if you like them.NoReason27 wrote:thanks guys, but i don't want music that sounds like American Idiot. i just said that i liked AI and thought how come i didn't like it before. i would like a variety of albums.

I have no idea about Theory Of A Deadman sorry, i don't listen to them.
Also 27, check out these bands: Seether, Three Days Grace, In Flames.
Defo seether, they're alot like BB but more grunge. they're also best friends with BB.

Re: I Need Some New Stuff
Honestly, with Green Day, you can't go wrong with the superhits record. It's just a bunch of singles they released in the past, and it's pretty ace if you're a new GD fan. That's what I'd do.
the best work that Blink-182 ever did was the latest record they made before they broke up, which was Untitled but in many cases is considered titled Blink-182 or Self Titled or whatever. I would also go for Enema Of The State, as it is the record that really pushed Blink to mainstream success. Take Off Your Pants and Jacket is an alright record, but doesn't compare to the other two. The older records, Dude Ranch and Cheshire Cat both are pretty much crap. I don't even include the other stuff they've made.
If you check out Blink-182 I highly suggest you check out Box Car Racer, also. If you want to find a sideproject/band that has members from Blink in it, you're WAY better off going for Box Car Racer than either +44 or AVA. Box Car Racer's record was self titled.
With Breaking Benjamin, I always suggest the record We Are Not Alone. That's probably my favorite they've made, because it has a lot of really good tracks and doesn't sound completely overproduced like some other records they've made sound.
Anberlin is releasing a new record later this month, and I suggest you check them out if you haven't already. They're pretty rad. The record titled Cities is my pick for album of the year ('07) and the new record is AMAZING as far as I'm concerned (I downloaded the leak).
Underoath is also releasing a new record, if you're in to music that screams. The record is harder than the last album or so, and it's pretty good. Maybe if you like music that yells, and don't already listen to them, you should check them out? I don't know.

Second, Kyle, extra thanks for all that you wrote. wow, just wow. i thought about underoath but i never really knew what kind of music they made. do you know if their screming is similar to that of George from Alexisonfire? i never ever heard of Anberlin, but they sound awesome.
thanks yous, everyones.![Smile ](./images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif)

Re: I Need Some New Stuff
Well, here's some recommendations.
Theory of A Deadman are pertty amazing. One of my favorite Alternative rock/Post-grunge bands. People actually say they sound like Breaking Benjamin, I dunno, cuz I don't like BB really and I don't listen to them, and people compare them to Nickelback cuz Chad Kroeger discovered and signed them and all, but to be honest, they are far better than Nickelback. Their first self-titled album from 2002 is really great, "Gasoline" from 2005 is amazing and the new one "Scars & Souvenirs" that was released in April this year is also pretty cool. You should check 'em out.
Daughty is also a pretty cool band (or should I say just Chris Daughtry's backing band) in the genre of Theory of A Deadman. Chris even guest sings on Theory's latest album on one song. Anyway, their self-titled debut album from 2006 is pretty cool, and has some cool songs like "It's Not Over", "Used To" and "What I Want" which is really great and features Slash on guitar.
You should try everything by Blink-182 if you want to get into 'em cuz they are really great. (well, except the old demos, they suck and are in sucky quality, but it has some rare stuff there like covers of NOFX and Dinosaur Jr.).
Drist is some really cool band and to be honest, its hard to say what genre are they. They are pretty heavy and times but you can hear some softer stuff. Anyway, they are not really known but I would say their sound is somewhere between Hard rock, Heavy metal and Alternative metal with influences of Punk rock and Grunge I guess. They are most known for the tracks "Decontrol" and "Arterial Black" which appeared on Guitar Hero games, and the Depeche Mode cover "Stripped".
Foo Fighters are always great if you're looking for Alternative hard rock band, you know, hard to say what are they... but they pretty much rock. Their last album was pretty great, but "The Color and the Shape" is probably their best, although "One By One" and "In Your Honor" were great too.
Extreme are a good band if you're into a cool mix of hard rock, heavy metal and funk. Their older stuff were very glam metal based, but always had some funk in them and all, so it was cool. Their last album before the break-up was very much grunge and all, but they just reunited and released a new album this August and its very Funk metal thing like the old stuff. Highly recommended. Their guitarist, Nuno Bettencourt is definitely one of the best!
Also, Hazen Street is a pretty cool Punk rock/Hardcore Punk side project, of Toby Morse (singer of H2O) and David Kennedy (guitarist for Box Car Racer and AvA), and some other guys I forgot but its pretty great. They got only one self-titled record from 2004, and its great. I think Joel and Benji of Good Charlotte sing some backing vocals or something, I read somewhere that they do. Anyway, they are pretty cool.
Oh, by Green Day... well, Dookie, Nimrod and Insomniac are all great. I never heard Warning but those 3 are pretty awesome.
Hope I helped![Dance ](./images/smilies/sFun_crazydance.gif)

Wait, are you saying those bands are punk rock? If you are, you are very wrong. I recommend The Descendents or Good Riddance.iemnaiz wrote:mayday parade?
