Anyone else noticed that back in the HHOP, AKNF and DTLI days he was always standing in front of his mic but never sang?

Yeah they just put those there, but Cone never sang then. Cone always seems like shy quiet guy so if you'd ask me, I would just say he was too shy to sing back then or something, but then maybe the guys encouraged him to sing cuz he really has a good voice, plus then Dave who singed most of the backing vocals left, so now Cone had to take over, you know, even though he kinda joined singing the backing vocals during the Chuck era.
Anyway the weirdest was probably What We're All About cuz Deryck, Steve and Dave all sang verses there and the chorus and all, but Cone was quiet, just stood in his place and played the bass haha (which is actually the most dominant instrument in this song).

Well, maybe thats the reason too. I know i can't sing when i'm with my guitar. I barely can, its so confusing, and pretty fuckin' hard. Maybe it was really Cone's problem.

Yeah, it's also hard to play the rhythm while singing because you have to remember the words, notes, and beat. It takes a whole lot of practice to make your playing decent while singing.

Yeah, I would love to sing at least backing vocals in my band but I just can't, it confuses me on the guitar!
Anyone has any tips on how to work on playing/singing at the same time?

Well I can do some playing and singing fairly well. First I nail the part and practice it for a long time before attempting to sing with it. I make it so that I don't really have to think what I'm playing too much, I just do it. Then I start singing during parts where it's easier to play and eventually I can sing most of the song.

Yeah, I've heard that you need to really nail down that part you wanna sing with , and it seems I kinda know those parts well, for example, all of Sum's Machine Gun but still can't really sing.
Thanx for the advice anyway
