It sucked like HELL when Blink 182 split up , most of the Blink fans i know followed Tom to Angels and Airwaves which i PERSONALLY think that it blows , while the others stuck with the "continuation of Blink 182 " : Plus 44 which i PERSONALLY (again) think that it's an amazing band , Mark and Travis ( my favourites) are still there , and the stuff they did sound amazing

What do you think : Ava or Plus 44 ?

I still think that Blink-182 was an epic band, now all there's left is two half-ass bands. I don't follow +44, like "Omg new album soon!!11!", but i still prefer them to AvA.

+44 is better. But neither them can hold a candle to blink.

So I'm the first one to say AVA > +44. xD
The +44 album is a bit too repeative imo, wouldn't mind if some songs were harder and faster. (Like blink with Stockholm Syndrome)
But I like both bands. I prefer AVA though.

I started listening to blink this year lol, but I still prefer AVA. Not because they're the first band after the breakup.

+44 are better and I actually liked their album very much although it could definitely have some more faster songs in the vein of Lycanthrope. There are a lot of slow songs which I personally like, but some faster songs wouldn't hurt either. I actually do wait like crazy for their next album and it sucks so bad that Tom with his AvA released two albums in two years, and +44's second album won't be out at least until summer 2009.

Anyway, AvA are great too. I was really into them once, especially when I-Empire was released. It was amazing. I couldn't stop listening to "True Love" and "Secret Crowds", but now I dunno... I kinda got bored of them, since their music is really a moody music, it depends on your mood, while +44 is more like Blink, for AvA you kinda need to be adjusted for their unique alternative sound.

Yeah, I like +44 better, catchier lyrics...

tom: bands u like: blink-182 (down, always), Boxcar racer, and angels and airwaves

i've always thought that BOX CAR RACER was a shitty idea , it was blink 182 without Mark , that's all , a side project with two band members out of three ? no wonder Blink split up after all, thank god Travis stuck with Mark.

If Cone and Steve started a new band , and they'll get like ..... i dunno Hayley Williams from Paramore as lead singer/ guitar player , and Synyster Gates from Avenged Sevenfold as a lead guitar , then I'm Soooooooo Over Sum 41 , and i'll open up a brand new TheresNoSolution kinda website , and you'll all be my NOOBS , i'm gonna be the ADMIN , the MOD ..... everything ......God ! that will be cool , okay back to reality , If Cone and Stevo started a side project without Deryck , will you guys back it up ?

I hate AvA with a passion for some reason, but I wanna hear a new album from them.
I don't really like Plus either..
I loved Blink so much thatt I won't be able to like any other band even half as much..

I don't know why, but I just find Mark annoying as hell. I never took a liking to +44 or AvA, but the song When Your Hearts Stops Beating was pretty good. The rest I didn't like. AvA was more of an acquired taste; I really enjoy The War and The Gift.

Box Car Racer was awesome though. And Blink-182's last album.

I have to say AVA. I like +44 aswell but I don't listen to them nearly as much as I listen to AVA. If anyone has seen the Start The Machine DVD they will see what a genious Tom really is.
