A You Tube problem

Post by punkrock101 »

So I go to uTube to watch a video and then it tells me :

Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player.

Although it was working fine the day before that. I downloaded the flash 3 times, but still not working. Im not sure if my Java is turned off cause I dont know how to turn it back on. So whats the problem?

Don't be fooled JavaScript is NOT Java, they are two different things;

What browser are you using?

This is how to check if your JavaScript is turned on or off.

Tools -> Internet Options -> Go to the Security Tab and highlight the Internet Zone Icon -> Change the setting to Medium High, this will ensure Javascript is turned on.

Also check your restricted zones and see if YouTube is in it, if it is, then delete it, I also recomend you download either Internet Explorer 7 of FireFox 2.0.0.16.

Hope this helped

That happened to me, Norton blocked it, so I just removed it from that list and it worked fine

No, I don't work for them, think of it as a Microsoft school, they just teach you and get certificate that employers would like to see

What I meant by upgradeing is not to fix the problem but to upgrade for security reasons, IE6 was terrible for bugs and security issues. But it was only a recommondation it's not a have too do thing
