You can find a couple of good tips there.

Torrent the Singing Success CDs. They're really helpful, for me at least.

just remeber breathing is eveything with singing (80% of eveything lol) so make sure u get ur breating techniques
and try and get a teacher so u dont ruin your voice and muscles
practice atleast 30 mins a day
learn vocal scales
posture is key

lol i researched this for around half a year to improve singing so i used books and shit and trust me it helps!
but i recomend going to library and ordering vocal books REALY HELP!

As I see his posts, he just says "agree with you" in the subject's name (instead of "re: name of the topic") and he says this same shit in every place he posts but its super annoying cuz nobody notices the subject's name and everyone just see a blank post.

well i get singing lessons, and i love the warm ups i do, you go up an down a scale along with a tape, and you have to sing each pitch

so what i recommend you do is try and find some singing warm ups (apparently for guys, girl warm ups can be very useful) and start trying to hit every note correctly, but also research on how to sing properly, so you dont end up hurting your voice

if you cant download some singing warm ups, just use a piano, or even a guitar, every now and then while playing guitar, i like to see how many different notes i can hit, :P good fun

focus and singing at the right pitch before you try and sound more like deryck while singing

try sleeping a lot, then you will sing better ;)
