In addition to Dave's departure, Greig Nori was let go as well. I don't know how the band and Greig got along before they parted ways, but regardless, I'm interested in knowing how many would like Greig Nori to come back and help produce the next Sum 41 album.
As for me, I would. I would've liked to see another Sum 41 album with the same crew and everything, but in a slightly different direction than Chuck. It would've been interesting to see what they would've come up with after knowing what did spawn out of their leaving and getting fired.

Re: Greig Nori?
I'd like him to come back, but I don't see it happening since they don't seem to have parted on great terms. Greig has said he wishes them luck but doesn't see much of a future for them, which sounds less than friendly.
Adam (Open Your Eyes), Amy (Mr. Penguin), and Sasha (Young,Dumb,And Full Of Cum...) are my noobs.
Claudia is my grand-noob.
Lisette (bunny) is my great-grand noob.

2 interviews over the past 2 years. This from the man who has produced Hedley's latest album. Ick.sprinks41 wrote:where'd you hear/read that Phili?Phili wrote:Greig has said he wishes them luck but doesn't see much of a future for them, which sounds less than friendly.
So I'm not happy with him right now. But I would like an outside producer to take over for Deryck this album. Deryck just puts way too much on his plate sometimes.

Re: Greig Nori?
Yeah, he should definitely come back. I mean, he did a great job on all of their records and as much as Dave missing its Greig who's missing as well. Even if not to bring him back, the Sums definitely need an outside produer, because Deryck is a decent one but he really doesn't do that of a great job producing, at least not for the Sums. Problem is that he is the main songwriter both musically and lyrically and like Steve said, he wrote 90% of the album in his little cave, and he had visions for the songs, the vocals, the guitars, the bass, the drums. He planned out all of the music, which is okay. I'm a guitarist in my band and I always when I have ideas I write all instruments and such and share with the bands, and thats what Deryck did, but on the other hand, he's also producer so basically when Cone for example said he wanted to change the basslines, then Deryck approached him as a producer, that it will change the overall sound and such. So its not that great when a band member is producing, especially with Deryck I guess. I hope he didn't tell Cone what to do in The Operation since he also produced it lol.
Anyway, yeah Greig Nori should come back. Treble Charger were decent but he was better off producing. Funny thing is that Treble Charger formed, performed and released albums long before Sum 41 was even signed, and when Greig became the manager for Sum 41, Treble Charger still went nowhere as the Sums became famous lol. I mean, in the 2000s their only recognition probably was that Avril Lavigne, Sum 41, Gob and Simple Plan appeared in the "Hundred Million" video.

He should come back. It's not that Deryck is a bad producer, Greig Nori's just better.

Re: Greig Nori?
He should definately come back. Not only was he their producer but I'm pretty sure he helped Deryck write alot of the songs. Everyone thinks if Dave comes back Sum would go back to their glory days but I think they'd need Dave and Greig back to reach their full potential.
