The Ataris [Kris Roe Acoustic Tour]

Since the Ataris aren't touring as a band, Kris Roe decided to do a Blue Skies, Broken Hearts, Next 12 Exits acoustic tour for eastern Canada through July. Well I went to it in St.Catharine's Ontario and it was awsm. Since it was only an acoustic show there weren't many people there, but it was still wicked. I can't remember the set list exactly but it went something like this:

- So Long, Astoria

- Broken Promise Ring

About 3 quarters through the show, he broke a string but still kept going. Basically, I got their as soon as the doors opened at like 7PM and he was there too. He setup his box full of photography that he sells and I bought 3 pics. After that, I just chilled with him the whole night until he went and played. He just a cool person to talk to, really down to earth. Anyways, after the show, he said he was going down to Niagara Falls to hit up some strip clubs.

EDIT: I just checked their myspace, and I'm not sure how lnog this was on there, but

We are currently working on demos for our forthcoming full length album. We plan to begin recording in late summer, and plan for an early 2009 release.

ye, taylor guitars are like $4000. Anyways, most people believe Kris copied jimi hendrix since hendrix just plays a right handed guitar upside and restrung for a lefty but Kris doesn't actually restring the guitar for a left, which is crazy. i also have a pic of me getting a pic with him but im too lazy to upload it
