Now, being a Metallica fan for about a decade, I was disgusted when I first heard The Unforgiven II off ReLoad.
That album and song sucked so bad.
The Unforgiven of Metallica was a great song of a average album but doing a new version was scrapping the bottom of the barrel.
Now the Death Magnetic tracklisting has been revealed they are doing a third part.
Why oh why James????
Am I the only one that thinks this idea is pathetic.
It would be like Sum 41 doing WWVII part 3

i was a bit shocked when i read the tracklisting, guess we'll just have to wait and see. i can imagine it being sucky tho, i just don't see how you can beat the first one

EDIT: this time in a month, i will be seeing Metallica

well, to be honest, the new Metallica stuff is really balls to me, but the new Maiden stuff isn't bad at all. I mean, Dance of Death was a pretty sweet album, and so is Brave New World (it has the freakin' Wicker man! one of their best songs!) , A Matter of Life and Death wasn't bad too, so they aren't as bad as Metallica's new stuff (unless Death Magnetic gonna surprise us)

I love Metallica, but the new stuff really isn't as good as the older stuff. I mean "Ride the Lightning" to their self-titled album was the best time imo.

About Maiden: I ADORE their new stuff. It's like, million times better than the old.

About Metallica: Unforgiven III? Haahaa. Pathetic. They are amazing band tho.

I really dislike the new Maiden. It's SOOO boring to me, the only progressive metal I can stand is Tool. They should go back to Number Of The Beast style.
But, Their new album covers are badass.

Yeah i also don't like those long progressive songs from the last albums, and there are too much of those IMO, although there are still great songs like Rainmaker who are just short and great!

I love the progressive stuff.

It will be fun to see it Hetfield can pull it off this time, or if it sucks balls..

About Maiden: Have anyone here even heard A Matter Of Life And Death?? Thats the best metall album in many years.. Alot of people only like the old stuff because it is classical, but the thing is, Maiden haven't changed since the 80's, and the new stuff is as good as the old stuff.. especially A Matter Of Life And Death.. I love that album, and I can't wait for the next album!

lol :p well it's nice to hear that someone agrees with me when it comes to Iron Maiden. Really, I'm just stating the obvious for the people whos to blind to see it.. Up the irons!

i personally like Maiden's newer stuff as well, AMOLAD was an awesome album imo, and Dance Of Death is one of my favourite Maiden Albums, its just brilliant.

as for Metellica, i will be seeing them this time in 2 weeks! (and a few hours)

Lucky bastard. I saw them in Bergen, Norway about three weeks ago, and it was great! amazing show!
