There's four parts. Longer first arguement between Cone and Deryck about bass parts and a part with Deryck trying out a Tele and showing off a few guitars he bought.
I assume this is from that DVD version or whatever and someone related to TNS must've put it up since it advertises the site in the description.
It was just added a few days ago, so I'm thinking not many of you have seen it yet.

Yeah, they should've done something like Metallica did with Some Kind of Monster. There'd be less drama for sure, but it'd be cool to see progression in how the songs grew.
But like Stevo said, 90% of the songs were developed in Deryck's little cave that he's held up in all the time.

I feel sorry for Cone ;P
"I mean, I think its cool, but I mean don't really" That moment he looks really sad to me.
Also I thanks for the share :).

Yeah, I feel bad for Cone too. The guy argued so he wouldn't have to play repetative bass lines.

He was totally right!
The bass is always doing the same on this album.

that bassline is pretty boring. i can see why cone wanted to change some of them.
anyway, Underclass Hero is 1 year old!

They need to get the bass more involved like Blink 182. Love Carousel intro.

Someone should tell Deryck that albums sell better when Cone has good bass parts.
lmao, Cone's opinion was exactly the same as pretty much EVERY fan's opinion on the bass parts. It sounded so much better with what Cone was doing.
Bahaha, Steve was definitely originally sitting behind them and then he just left. They must've been arguing for a while.
What I think is nice is that even though they are arguing, they clearly have such a deep understanding of each other and they both know their instruments inside and out. They know when's the right time to take a bit of a dig, because if Cone had placed that comment about the bass being the same and repetitive all the time wrong, Deryck probably would've gotten way more defensive. They debate in a way where neither of them lose it but they both get their opinions out.
They need a new producer, though. For mediation purposes if nothing else. I noticed that when they were recording bass on DTLI?, it was Greig and Cone upstairs in a different studio going over it, and what they recorded there, almost separate from Deryck, was what went on the record. I have no doubt that Greig fought for the bass 100% and I think Cone probably misses that, because Steve clearly doesn't want to get involved at all. I mean, Cone was even trying to get Steve to help defend the bass, saying it went with the really good drums and stuff.
As soon as I saw Cone go higher while he was recording Underclass Hero, I knew Deryck would have a problem.
