Wanna have your music in a video game?

Dear (Artist/group/band),

Interested in your music appearing in a video game?
Football-freaks.com is making a mod of madden NFL 2008 that will be released as Madden 09, and we need a soundtrack! Ea-sports decided not to release Madden 09 for PC, so we're improvising. Any song we use must have all drug, alchohol, sexual, or any otherwise offensive references removed from the song, as the game is rated E (and we plan to keep it that way).

For more info contact [email protected]

best wishes,

Football-Freaks.com, NFL 09 PC MOD

Yup that's right. You could have your music from your band in a video game. Since we can't legally sell the mod, it's going to be released free and available on torrent sites such as demonoid. So sadly, if you agree to this, we can't compensate you.

if you have a song that you want to consider for the game, post a link to download it here.

Keep it clean folks. We're looking for a wide variety of genres, and i've already contacted a couple of bands on myspace. If you guys could help me out and contact some bands, that would be awesome.

I'd say stuff like Disturbed, +44, and other heavy metal, hard punk bands, but I guess that's a given, eh?

Other stuff that I always thought would be good for the NHL/Madden series
- "Troublemaker" Weezer
- "Once and For All" Foo Fighters
- "Tick Tick Boom" The Hives
- Little Know it All
- ALL LINKIN PARK!!!
- "Turnin' On a Screw" QOTSA
- No Reason and March of the Dogs (even though it's kinda vicious towards the US government) I think would make solid video game songs

yeah, that someone is me.

(btw, what's the point of havin' a website if it just redirects to a myspace page?)

the problem is we wont' be able to get big name bands like those to sign on. The biggest band we do have is Nine Inch Nails, there last album was released online with a creative commons 3.0 share-alike license or something like that... so we can use it as long as we say that the song is by Nine inch nails.

and btw, Tick Tick Boom is already in Madden 08

and we're looking for FREE SONGS. that pretty much means the band has to give us permission to use there songs.
