As summer vacation begins, 17 girls at Gloucester High School are expecting babies  more than four times the number of pregnancies the 1,200-student school had last year. […] All it took was a few simple questions before nearly half the expecting students, none older than 16, confessed to making a pact to get pregnant and raise their babies together. Then the story got worse. “We found out one of the fathers is a 24-year-old homeless guy,†the principal says, shaking his head.
Once again, the news has touched off a round of soul-searching and finger-pointing. According to the Time article, adults in Gloucester variously blame a depressed local economy, broken families, adrift children, difficult access to birth control and hit movies like “Juno†and “Knocked Up†that they say glamorize pregnancy to young audiences. Bad examples set by celebrities off-screen did not come up, though, and no one Time talked to in Gloucester seems to have mentioned the most famous teen mother of the moment.

also i don't know if this is the right section i just wanted to post that cuz i think it's probably one of the craziest (and dumbest) things i've ever seen ... if you are lonely go and buy a pet or try to go out with your friends don't do this ... shit
it's just they have the same age as me !!! how can anyone think seriously about having a baby being only 16 ???i can't understand that ... i mean i'm , they're so young

it's pretty crazy. i personally dont feel sad for them, it's their own fault and this was caused by their own responsability. what bugs me the most is that some girls like this dump their children into orphanages (hope i spelled that right) or even trashcans. it's notfair that the baby has to live a miserable life thanks to the parents
just for the record: "Knocked Up" sucked bad

If I remember correctly, a while back, I posted a thread about a 7th grader that got pregnant from another 7th grader. Thats like 12-13 years old
But making a pact to do that stuff? thats fucknig stupid

also i don't understand why they blame movies like juno it's stupid, cuz the film(which i personally loved)doesnt' say "hey little girl with no brain inside your head go and have a baby, it's the coolest thing you can do when you're a tennager, better than drugs i promise "

actually, it said the contray. in the movie Juno gets pregnant and she starts having a hell of problems. so the movie basically said "dont get pregnant or you'll go through the same hell Juno had to go through". i guess tpeople are just looking to blame the media
again instead of taking responsability for their actions
