I got brownies from your mother and it gave me syphilis!!

On a side note, I just bought a new 80GB iPod. I hooked it up to my Mac and it turns out I don't have the right version of Mac OS X to use it. I need 10.4.9 but I only have 10.3.9.

I went to the Apple website and downloaded any version that was highter than mine (i.e. 10.5.1). But when I tried to install it it said I didn't have the "Bill of Materials."

Can anyone help me with this? Ideally I don't want to spend any money or have to use my PC because it's slow enough as it is and I don't want to upload all 60 or so of my CDs all over again.

my suggestion would be to take your Mac and ipod to wherever you bought your Mac from and tell them and show them. they should know what to do.
