We have one of these on PD... I'd like to know your thoughts on who's going to win the Cup?
I don't care if this is in the wrong section, there's really no section for it & it's always fun to argue about hockey.

I think the Red Wings will win the Cup. If they don't, they'll at least win the West. The only team still in the west that looks like competition is the Sharks... If they lose tonight, the Wings should have it easy. The Stars are good, but the Wings outplayed them all season, and same goes to the Aves. The Flames just suck...

im a flames fan, i hope we win tonight. i no we not gonna lol san jose is to good and its at san jose.
i think the Habs are taking it this year.

I am an ultimate San Jose fan, I actually lived there for 8 years and grew up watching them. I personally think they will beat Calgary tonight, not because I'm a huge fan but i truly believe they are the better team. Also, the Habs are working pretty good right now and the Pens are having an amazing post season. My expectations are Detroit or San Jose for the West, and Montreal and Pittsburgh for the East.

Yeah Wings are my team and their going all the way this year. The Avs suck major balls, they played a crappy, injury-ridden Wild team and they think they're hot shit. The Sharks have lost all their momentum and are flopping. In the east Montreal barely beat Boston, I don't think they would have a chance against the penguins, but I'm hoping Washington pulls off a victory, Alex Ovechkin is a BAMF.

for the east, the caps and penguins is going to be tough, but the penguins will pull through. Then the rangers will beat the habs and i hope they will beat penguin (they have many times before)

i really hope dallas gets the west conference

For those of you referring to what happened in the regular season, must I remind you that what happens in the regular season is irrelevant from what happens in the post season (aside from the initial seeding). Why do you think all the stats are restarted? Why do you think the wings have claimed the president's trophy 3 times in the last 5 years, but have failed to win the cup since '02? Playoffs is a fresh start.

The sharks have lost all their momentum and are flopping? They are playing the calgary flames, not the LA kings. Just because a team takes a series to game 7, doesn't at all mean they are flopping. It took the wings 6 games to eliminate the flames last year, and the 8th seeded nashville predators in 6 games this year.

I was saying that they lost all the momentum they had going into the playoffs because they were like 16-2 in there last 18 games and during game 3 I think, when the Sharks went up 3-0 in 3 minutes and lost! That kills a team. And who the hell was talking about the regular season? Of course everything changes come playoff time. I think the wings have the depth to go all the way, talent through all 4 lines. And why would you talk about last year? Teams change, you can't compare previous years teams against current teams.

I was pulling for Ovechkin, but I think what the Flyers have done is absolutely amazing. Last year they were the worst team, now they're in the 2nd round of the playoffs..
