i have a laptop. a really old, toshiba laptop. it has Windows XP.

i recently had to do a full restore on it, cos it was acting up.

everytime i try to install windows live messenger, as i did before it got rebooted, it says some nonsense about not being able to run on XP.

can someone please end my n00bish behaviour and tell me what to do?
