Okay, here's my dilemma.

I'm planning to buy a new mp4 or whatever they are called. I've done a lot of research and i'm stuck to these two: a 3rd generation iPod nano (previous nano's weren't my favourites, but this looks good) or a Zune.

I love the looks of an iPod, everytime i see one i want to just make out with it, the scrolling button, the ability to see videos now and so forth, it's awesome, but on the downside, only 4 and 8GBs. But an iPod, it's an...iPod, you just can't look past it.

But a Zune. 80GBs. 250 hours of video or 20 000 songs or 25 000 pictures. A bigger screen than the new iPod nano. Putting media on without any cables. It truly is a miracle. But i don't know. The buttons look wierd and i think it's not so tiny as the iPod, but i haven't held one in my hands, so i can't decide.

Budget is 600 dollars.

Personally I prefer a Zune

depends how much money you have. if you wanna spend a bit more, i recommend ipod classic, 80gb, £160 ($300 or so)

I think the nanos are good.
I'd go with a classic though.

I thought of that, but i want an mp3 that i could watch movies and such, so the size of the screen is important too, and the Zune has a lot bigger screen than the classic 80GB, but Zune's will be in stores within this year in Europe, so i don't know, if i should wait for them, or not.

I have the iPod nano, and I hated it at first, but I got used to it and now I love it. But if you want videos I'd say go with the iPod classic. I've never liked Zunes, whatever :|

all ipods look like crap. even the ipod touch and iphones.

the zune looks realtiely close to what an ipod looks like, but i really don't see they dilema. don't pick an ipod just because its an ipod. you have to decide with what features each has.

Zune has more features, get that.

I don't know shit about any of this sort of stuff, past what you put in your first post on this thread.

Why would you ever choose a better looking mp4 player over one that so obviously DOMINATES with quality and efficiency!?

That's a HUGE GB difference, and the screen is bigger.

I don't really get why there'd even be any question at all whatsoever.

Get the better product, rather than the prettier one.

I know, but Zune's are not available 'til july or so, and that was in Europe, i don't even know how long it'll take for the Zunes to arrive in Estonia.

iPod classic has 80GBs, same as the Zune, but the iPod is cheaper. 'Tho the Zune really has a bigger screen, even bigger than the classic iPod.

i really want a Zune now. only cos ive had Ipods for like 3 years now and i wanna try something else.

I thought about it and i decided to wait, because the iPods won't go anywhere.

I love the menu of the Zune, it's different and really really good looking.

And the fact that the video viewing is in the landscape mode is really great, so it uses every inch of the screen. I think the buttons might even be good as i read from the Zune description, might even be better than the iPods buttons tbh.
