I love Metal Gear Solid. I played the demo version when I was 9 years old at a friend's house. Since then I've been a fan of the game. I'm not much of a gamer, but the Metal Gear Solid series is epic.

The main reason I bought a PS2 was to play Sons of Liberty and the main reason I bought a PS3 is to play Guns of the Patriots. Of course, now I'm kicking myself because I found out a few days after I bought a PS3 that MGS4 was coming in a bundle and you got the 80GB PS3 with it too and I had already bought the 40GB.

Oh well... the game still rocks though. Cutscenes are like movies, but that's okay.

It was an awesome game. It really wraps things altogether nicely. It's probably the first Metal Gear Solid where I've watched all the cutscenes and listened to all the Codecs without skipping any, haha.

Fucking add me to your PS3 friends lists and game with me online.

Degausser08

I am getting MGS in a few days because I just got paid and I have to buy it.
Also, if anyone still plays Call of Duty 4, I need to game with you. I am addicted to that shit.

If you don't go online, you need to.
And I know I said I needed space,

but I know I can't be comfortable in my own skin.

So when I say I'm scared to be alone, you know I mean it,

I'm just not ready to leave my room.

I just discovered that my dad bought MGS3 for the PS2 quite a while ago. Friends of mine were playing MGS4 while I was on vacation this week; it really sparked my interest. I'm going to try it out next week.

Yeah, I love MGS and all, but the story for Guns of the Patriots was kind of a letdown for me. Just how they revealed things near the end like Ocelot just pretending to be Liquid, Solidus' body being burned on the Volta and not Big Boss', EVA knowing that that was Solidus' body being burned...

I just think things would've been more dramatic, sad and epic if those things were just kept the way we assumed they were when they were happening.

That's good points but none the less the game was awesome, i loved the gameplay compared to some other metal gears, and how you could customize weapons was pretty sick, but ya i just like how it all came together in the end, wonder if we'll be hearing more from Raiden in the next game cause from what ive read Hideo said this was the last mgs hed be part of

Right now I've only played MGS3: Subsistence. I fucking loved it, now I want to play the rest of the series.
