Well, about 2 hours ago I downloaded the newest version of Internet Explorer, version 8.
Anyone else tried it out?
I honestly quite like it,

Yeah, IE 8 is a definite step up from 7. I personally don't have it as my default web browser, I'm more of a Firefox guy :P

It will make you crazy in 3 hours or less.
It took 10 minutes on my comp to crash.

I'm sure you don't work as a professional needing sometimes (if not always) the best performance all the time right?boniboyblue wrote:That just awful mean, I've had little (if none) trouble with any MS Products that I haveV wrote:No, I would fully expect that: it's from Microsoft.boniboyblue wrote:Well you would half expect that wouldn't you it is in it's beta stage.
Losing time and money due to stupid glitches in the source code of a program made by a company worth billions makes you feel bad. It's not news, and it's not even worth arguing, but M$ programs have never been reliable.
I still use Windows Vista, and will probably continue using it, but that doesn't mean it's good.

Re: Internet Explorer 8 [Beta 1]
All operating systems have their kinks and flaws, Microsoft vista was released on to the world which had underpowered hardware and old devices. (A majority did, not all) But they had to do this to make a leap forward.
Think Microsoft has to support thousands of different pieces of hardware and make vista run on thousands of different machines with different configurations and setups
No easy task. You would expect things not to work. In my opinion Microsoft has tried hard to get backwards compatibility as good as they could. Company's are being to slow about released updated versions that support vista officially.
Also before anyone says get a mac or apple managed it.
There move from OS 9 to OSX was a big one, broke backwards compatibility. Also every released of OSX only has to work on a limited amount of hardware configurations. Also as people have seen from the release of leopard, not all software ran without issues either.

In some ways your right,Still_Waiting wrote:I use firefox in my opinion way better than IE
The only reason I use IE is because it's there with Windows and it works (for what I do anyway).
I do have a copy of FireFox Portable that I use if I'm on other people's computers cause it leaves no personal data behind but I do prefer IE7's layout better. Personal taste I must say

The ever awesome Firefox supports themes, so you can actually change the way it looks, whereas IE can't do that ;)boniboyblue wrote:In some ways your right,Still_Waiting wrote:I use firefox in my opinion way better than IE
