Any Grand Theft Auto fans on here?

If so discuss previous Grand theft auto games and Grand theft auto 4 here.

New features of Grand Theft Auto 4:

* It takes five minutes to get half way around Algonquin island on a boat.
* Long Road, Oneida Avenue, South Parkway and Lorimar Street were all names of streets that made an appearance.
* A representation of New York’s Koreatown is also in the game.
* Francis International Airport re-appeares in the game.
* Time advances in the game slower than in previous titles - 2 minutes of real time now represents one hour of game time.
* A usable subway system is known to cover at least Algonquin and Broker.
* The Statue of Happiness appears on its own island beneath the Broker Bridge
* Snow, apparently will not be in the game
* NaturalMotion’s Euphoria Engine is said to give “lean and weight” to Niko’s footsteps.
* The game is now automatically saved on mission completion. Safehouses are still available.
* Some missions are scripted multiple times; dialogue between characters can vary if you reattempt a mission.
* An indicator made up of eight purple segments will appear when locked on to a target to represent their health.
* Locking on will target the torso of a character. A headshot is possible by manipulating the crosshair while locked on.
* Niko can get drunk - his movement, driving and actions will be impaired. Drunk Driving will be realistically difficult.
* After grabbing on to a truck and climbing to the roof, a mini game is started where you have to maintain your balance atop the vehicle.
* The cover system in the game allows you to either pull out from behind the object or stay covered and fire blindly.
* Some objects which you can use for cover are destructible, like in STALKER or Crysis.
* Better “wanted” system - the radar shows your crime’s location and your last known whereabouts
* Dynamic relationships - the way you treat other characters will affect their behavior towards you.
* Relationships can be built by engaging in activities like billiards, darts and bowling with your associates.
* Characters are seen wearing different clothes during different appearances.
* Playboy X is one of Liberty’s more wealthy residents and lives in a mansion.
* A character named Bell is introduced who has a nephew called Frankie
* Different cars have different navigation systems.
* More expensive cars include GPS which talks the player through the streets.
* You are now required to break the window of a vehicle to perform shootings while driving.
* The shooting while driving mechanic has improved and you can now shoot in any direction around the vehicle using both analog sticks.
* Police vehicles now include an extensive GPS and database system
* Enter the name of a criminal in the Police database system to find out their whereabouts and the game will guide you to them.
* An in-car view has been added, meaning that vehicle models now have detailed interiors.
* A new mission complete jingle is included.
* A new radio station called IF99 will be broadcasting in Liberty City.
* You can now listen to the radio outside of the car via your cellphone, although audio quality will be realistically reduced.
* If you’re in a car listening to the radio when your cell phone rings, the radio will be interrupted by the infamous “clicking” of interference.
* The voice actor list is shrouded in secrecy, with some members of the game team even being in the dark as to its contents.
* Also, a couple of famous actors will lend their voices to characters.

* Loading is done in the background, as discussed many times before. It's confirmed though that cutscenes will require loading.
* Liberty City will be gradually unlocked, as seen in the GTA3 series.
* As with all past GTA's, you can have small discussions with people on the street. However, now relationships can be started, similar to that of the storyline characters.
* Car's damage is more realistic than in past GTA's.
* Your car will no longer explode after several intense crashes, rather the car will fail to start.
* Vehicles will not disappear as much as they did with past games, although they still will disappear if you leave the area for a large period of time or are a large distance from the area the vehicle was left.
* Extras like hidden packages and stunts we all know and love will return.
* All well-known real world weapons are available, although this was done in San Andreas originally anyway, however many new melee weapons have been added.
* Multiplayer

Yeah, and the Xbox 360 version's going to have 2 extra missions, and both the PS3 and Xbox 360 are gonna have extra downloadable content.

Cool. I'm not an intense fan of GTA games, but they are a helluva lot of fun to play. I remember when I was 13 and I first got GTA3 for Playstation 2. I played that game 24/7 just screwing around, using cheats and stuff. I never thought I'd get bored of it. But I did.

But San Andreas was pretty fun although I never played it much once I got into High School for some reason.

I played a GTA once. I don't remember what it's called...but it's lame.

I was excited to play, but then I did...and it wasn't anywhere near as cool as I had hoped for.

It has a pink cover. It's about 20 feet away from me on the tv stand, but I'm too lazy to go get it.

Is it Vice City?

I wasn't a big fan of Vice City.

Yeah! That's the one!

I got bored REALLY fast.

And I wouldn't expect me to get bored of stealing cars, running over people, and smashing into every car that drives by...but I did...within about half an hour.

Yeah, something about Vice City just bored the crap out of me. Even with all the stuff you could do with it at the time.

Ah well... San Andreas seemed so much better I thought.

W00t someone thats a big fan like me.

I got my PS3 only for GTA IV too.

I beat all previous GTA games except the ones that are 2D

I love playing GTA 3 and Vice city more than San Andreas for some reason. When i play it it gives me a strange feeling and it's fun :D

And Ashley, i think you should try doing missions, sometimes its more fun than just running round killing people. :D
