Spaceman

This song is about a spaceman who is stuck up in a capsule, not knowing about anything thats happenend below. In the first verse there have been wars which he has been unaware of, and he reminices about his love, and also comments on the beauty of space.
The 'earth below' in the chorus isnt the planet, but actually his grave, the earth being the earth he is buried under. That line came from another song i wrote a while ago which had the chours 'As I walk my path, to my lonely grave, I know that I am not ok, I've asked you once, so please just try, leave me alone and let me die.'... Which is a bit grim. So I changed it. The rest of the chorus is the spaceman thinking about his wife, and the recordings he left behind 'I'll sing to you in your headphones'
The second verse actually introduces the spaceman, worried about his existance, and the last two lines are him speaking to himself.
The final verse shows whats happened back on earth. His wife that he loves so much has moved on, and married again. The spaceman of course, doesnt have a clue
--------------------
The bombs turned to birds that blossomed in the scarlet sky
im sorry my dear i never meant to make you cry
The supernova breaths new live into the stars
Your one wish - I'll be with you inside your heart
As I walk my path
to the earth below
all thats behind me is sorrow
I'll sing to you
in your headphones
My love is great
this songs' unknown
Way out in space a tragic lonely spaceman
Cries out loud but nobody can hear him
Is it worth me coming back im none the wiser
All thats in my head is deep and dark desires
As I walk my path
to the earth below
all thats behind me is sorrow
I'll sing to you
in your headphones
My love is great
this songs' unknown
Cant you hear the church bells ringing?
Shes underneath them someones missing
She thinks you died way out in space so long ago
So married again and yet she doesnt even know
As I walk my path
to the earth below (spaceman)
all thats behind me is sorrow (spaceman)
I'll sing to you
in your headphones (spaceman)
My love is great
