Hypocrisy Much?

I'm just a little confused. Why are we allowed to upload albums that aren't sum 41 related and are harshly scolded if we do so?

because this is a sum 41 fansite ;)
so we want people to get the albums and not swipe them :D

I was talking to the thread starter, not you.
I obviously knew that you meant, everyone knows the word "Amen". When someone's praying in a different language, you'll always know when they're done because they say the word is pretty much universal.

i think they mean that, if someone posts an album that isnt by sum 41, we find it acceptable, but are very strict when someone posts official media.
if that makes any more sense...

your saying it's okay to jack other band's music, but Sum/MD/BB is too important/ deserves it more/ we owe it to them to buy them.

The site promotes the band. And to support them, we don't want anyone posting their albums, dvd's, etc. Simple.

i have a question aswell. both me an Hentaimen(sp.?) want the R2R episodes to make a DVD with them, is it acceptable for people to post them? cause no mods/admins have commented in that thread.

RTR is free, and Sum 41 obviously wants their fans to get it that way. You can of course share RTR episodes.

Well we werent talking about just R2R episodes, but those from the UH bonus DVD and the UH single CD. its like official media or something, so....

So, essentially what I've gathered is that we(meaning the board) are hypocrites. We find it only acceptable to steal from others, not those that we are purely dedicated to.
Shouldn't we completely ban or completely allow the ripping of albums? If we are to stand with Sum 41's beliefs I would like for us all to get the bands that they give thanks to in any of their albums and fully ban those as well; also we should probably ban the ripping of any band they or their record company has ever come in contact with. After all we are supporting Sum 41.
