tips please..... what makes a good pop punk chorus?

Well, everyone feel free to write what they think makes a good pop punk chorus and a good pop punk song.
i'm having writers block dammit.

basically, you need a catchy opening riff
a verse that builds up into the chorus
a chorus that you can sing to (has a good melody)
that leads back into the opening riff
meh, thats all i can think of

lyrically? repetition.
good perfect rhymes.
maybe some higher like "ahhhhh" (not a scream) in the background kinda thing.

Well I think the verses should be faster lyrically like punk music but the chorus should be somewhat slower and more melodic.....that's just my opinion

hmmm... well, it needs to be catchy and sometimes making it edgy works too.
throwing in some good harmony works too.
rhythm and rhyming work well and if you can pull it off, you will have a catchy tune even if you're talking about cheese.
and songs should constantly build, having the same thing throughout the whole song is boring.
a song needs to evolve in my opinion.
