[Request] Opinions

I've recently been think about getting a new games console, and I've also been a Sony boy,
So I thought about getting a PlayStation 3, mainly because of Metal Gear Solid 4 and Final Fantasy 13, and of course because it is a Blu-Ray player.
I'm also really not fond of xBox, nothing wrong with them but personally not a fan.
So, right now my mind is set on a PlayStation 3 but I'm having my doubts
What's your opinion?

PS3 cos metal gear solid is awesome.
PS3's rock.
if you've got a ps2 sell it and get a wii aswell cos there well worth it.

don't buy a PS# so soon. they still make games for PS2. with 360's you have to be careful cause they arent' "well built" and by that i mean, don't tip it verticly witha game playing inside. a friend did that a couple times and now he's on wait for his 4th from microsoft.
Wii will be coming out with better games shortly. the have Mortal Kobat for Wii, witch is crazy casue you only have to press one button and move and you do a special move.
bottom line: do ruch into buying a system until your completly sure that you want that system and feel you could get quite a bit of use out of it.

ps3 is a ripoff
my brother got one a few months ago, and its shite
first of all, the controllers are really uncomfortable.
plus, they cant even play ps2 games!
£300, not worth it
but, as you said, it does have mgs4...

Yeah, I'm in that situation as well. The only reason I'd end up getting a PS3 would be to play Metal Gear Solid 4 and Devil May Cry 4. But I'd want to use it for more than just playing two games.
I'd say just wait until MGS4 or FFXIII come out before you buy a PS3. Then hopefully by then the price will have lowered too.
I don't know how the PS3 is as a machine though. I know the Xbox 360 has a lot of annoying kinks to it. My friend had to get his replaced like three times.

lol megadrive when I was 3 or 4 years old I used to play street fighter and sonic
sega megadrive brings me very good memories

don't forget devil may cry 4 but this one will be on xbox 360 too
