but that's what so weird... they are, there are so many indie acts, that maybe they get a little more known just cuz they win, but yet nobody really knows why they won, or more importantly - why they win! XD

Someone obviously knows - as the only way to get votes, is for people to vote for you....
Teagan and Sarah, are HUGELY popular. I didn't go to the site, so I don't know what other indie acts you may be talking about, but whoever asked who they are in this thread is the only person I've encountered who doesn't know who they are. There isn't a day that goes by that they aren't on the London ON radio station...and I haven't heard Sum 41 on that station in a good long while. (NOT saying they deserve more airtime than Sum 41...but they get it...so they're not unknown)

Yeah, they've been very popular lately.
I don't really know why... I never hear them on the radio here though. Maybe once or twice, but the same goes for Sum 41.
