okay...[Sum and others medley on Tuba]

Post by Dylan »

so for a class i have to do a "Audio project". this can include a radio advertisment, playing a song, weather it be singing or an instrumental or etc..

i want to cover some songs with my Tuba. i wanted to cover P4P, but i want my project to be longer. the max is 4 minutes. so i decided i want to do a medly. so far i want to do the intro to Subject to Change with the P4P part somewhere in there. it doesn't have to be ALL sum songs, but it doesn't matter. anything that would sound cool on a Tuba.

if anyone has any ideas or ways to arrange the song-clips, tat would be apreciated. just tell me the song name and ill download the Guitar Pro tab and convert it.

it most likely won't be up unitl just before or after Christmas.

thanks.

I think you should choose whatever songs you please.

If you do end up doing it, film yourself or record it! We'd love to see your cover.

geez guys your making me blush

but i don't think im gonna do a strict Sum 41 song or medley. im gonna incorporate other songs into it.

right now im think of having in :

Pain For Pleasure
Paralyzer
Animal I have Become
River Below
No Reason
and possibly the first half (but ill try for the whole) of the Bitter End solo. :D

and im gonna record it but only Audio, just cause i don't have a video camera.

go to google and type in "finale notepad music notation"

your'll have to make an account, they'll send you an activation code after you download the program.

once you install it you can create you own songs.

then you get the guitar pro tabs from ultimate guitar and enter them EXACTLY into the finale music program. (you'll have to open a new file and edit it so that its guitar, the right time signature, ect..)

copy and paste them into a clarinet space.

if they are too high or too low, click on a simple note (ie. a single 8th or 16th or quarter note) and while holding Shift press the down or up arrow key.

do that for a while and you'll have the whole song. and at any time you want you can click the play button and it will play it using that instrument.

its a very cool program. :D

okay, i've got about 80% of what im doing, "tabbed" out. (i say tabbed, because i don't know the term for sheet music). i have i think 3 weeks till i have to hand it in, so i've got a resonable amount of time to prepare etc...

but i was wondering where i could get a high-quality tab of the "Fear of A Brown Planet" bass solo. there is no power tabs or guitar pro files on ultimate-guitar, so if someone could tab it out, that would be really appreciated.

it MIGHT not make it in, but i'll try.

so far (in order(well, so far, revisions haven't been completly done)

Subject to Change (intro)
Count Your Last Blessings (little riff thingie before the chorus)
River Below (Intro, Verse, Pre-chorus)
Animal I Have Become (Verse, Chorus)
Paralyzer (chorus)

and these ones im still unsure of
Pain for pleasure (Main and outro)
the first half of the Bitter end solo
No Reason (Intro/Main)

and tuba solos from some songs i've playe in band:
Maleguena
and Pirates of The Carribean

they both actually sound pretty cool, simple, but cool. there from like 3 years ago and i memorised them.

i can't wait for you guys to hear it. :D

cool dude, yeah, its gonna be awesome to hear.

about the tabs, there are really no Brown Brigade tabs anywhere right now. how do tuba tabs look anyway?
my friend is like freakin' awesome on guitar, though he doesn't like BB from some reason, i'm sure in 100% he could play it from hearing and write it and all, but for the guitar , if i could even make him do it.
