Just wondering what you all thought as for music at my school i have to get marked on playing a song on bass, i will probably do motivation as it sounds good on bass but i wouldn't mind playing a bit of a more technical song, so far i can think of 'Welcome to hell' but the bass solo is quite tricky and i can't be bothered to learn it.

Open your eyes is just hard enough to be interesting, but not hard enough to be, ya'know, hard. Heart Attack is another good one for bass, I think.

do a rush song, if your good.

I've never heard their music, i want to do Sum 41 anyway as i only play songs by bands i like and so far in music i've just done a couple of boring power chord Green Day songs on guitar so thats why i want to play one of the best sounding sum songs on bass.

What? King of Contradiction is easy! It's just powerchords. It's only hard if you don't know how to double-pick for the ending and the slides.

To be honest, the bass on songs from All Killer sound a lot more harder/interesting than anything from Underclass Hero.

Yeah KoC is pretty easy, it just takes a little bit to get the right strum pattern.

you should. it's always easier when someone actually shows how to do it.
I have for example many DVDs like "how to play guns n' roses", "how to play jimi hendrix" and stuff like that, it's milion times better than just guitar tabs.

Yeah, and for me, KoC also is hard, but again, i too pretty much suck on the guitar

im not a bass player, nor have i even tried to play the solo on bass, but i have the power tab from ulitmate-guitar and it doesn't seem too hard...

yeah, it looks like nothing special for someone who's familiar with playing bass.
I mean, there are far harder songs to play on bass, than sum 41, and i'm sure anyone that starts with bass, doesn't go straight to sum 41, they probably start with classics.

i know it on guitar, though i don't the solo, but i actually forgot about the song and maybe i'm ready to actually learn it now... not that it's so interesting.
it's really easy song, yeah.

I guess everyone start with such classic's as Smoke on the Water, Iron Man (Black Sabbath), Godzilla (Blue Oyster Cult) and Rock You Like A Hurricane (Scorpions).
classic cool songs, who aren't hard to play.
