Suffocate the dreams in my mind
(Well I can't stop believing)
Drown the thoughts that have me confined
(Stop this heart from bleeding)
Gutter dreams as black as the night
(????)
No one told me empathy's a lie
(Lost in paranoia)
Please help me, which words I miss? I don't understand... It sounds like something with "forget"
Pull the curtain - lyrics - please help

Suffocate the dreams in my mind
(My last words, I'm choking)
Drown the thoughts that have me confined
(Are all my dreams broken?)
Gutter dreams as black as the night
(The silence is deafening)
No one told me empathy's a lie
(My ears won't stop ringing)
Got it from the booklet... I also know that song by heart it is my favorite :D

Thanks man, now I think soJonny wrote:Sounds to me like 'lying dead and forgot' but i couldn't be sure.
Correct lyrics:
"PULL THE CURTAIN"
(Where'd I go wrong?)
Pull the curtain begin paranoia's wearing thin now
It's wearing thin now
(Where'd I go wrong?)
Close my eyes realize I've become the victimized now
Desensitized now
The one and only day has come I pay for all the bad things I've done
(Where'd I go wrong?)
Something's wrong because I find the glamour in the dark side
In the dark side
(Where'd I go wrong?)
Cheap regrets can't forget falling victim to the debts still unpaid in my mind
The one and only day has come I pay for all the bad things I've done
It's gonna take me, you don't know tragedy
I've been to hell and back again to tell
Close my eyes and lay me down to sleep
I fear the worst my beating heart ticks to explode
And my time is up so
Why can't I just sleep
Living dead awake the horror show begins so pull the curtains over me
Bring on the panic the uncontrolled and manic
It's a free-for-all kill them all every last one of them
I don't care at all
Bring on the panic the uncontrolled and manic
It's a free-for-all kill them all every last one of you
I don't care at all
Suffocate the dreams in my mind
(Well I can't stop believing)
Drown the thoughts that have me confined
(Stop this heart from bleeding)
Gutter dreams as black as the night
(Lying dead and forgot)
No one told me empathy's a lie
(Lost in paranoia)
[2x]
[background:]
My last words I'm choking
Are all my dreams broken
The silence is deafening
My ears won't stop ringing
[2x]
Now we're gone, do you still feel
the same? Well now, can't you see?
I need help to stop me from myself
Well can't you help me now?

If you listen to the song, it's CLEARLY related to insomnia.

This month's Total Guitar has a four-page interview with Deryck Whibley. I bought the magazine for a Megadeth sticker and was pleased to find it inside. Anyway this shit journalist that's obsessed with Metallica called Joel MCiver interview's Deryck and theres a photo shoot on rofftops aswell of Deryck with one of his vintage Tele's.Phili wrote:^Um, where did you hear that? Here's some of the question's anyway.
J.M: "Pull The Curtan Sounds pretty scary!"
D.W: "I was 22 and we were on tour in Japan and I started having severe panic attacks - just this crazy anxiety. I didn't know what was happening to me, I didn't know it was panic. For six or eight months I was having a panic attack every single day and I thought my brain had been fried from all the drugs I'd done, so I started going to see a drug's counsellor. I said, 'I've done something to my brain, I'm fucked!' As soon as I realised that it was anxiety and did some research on the internet I started getting over it.
"So that's what this song is about. My panic attacks always start because I think I'm about to die. I can feel my chest getting heavy as though I'm gonna have a heart attack. I understand them now, which is why I don't get them anymore. But at the time I was like 'What the fuck is going on?' "
J.M: "The Song Walking Disaster sounds pretty miserable, frankly..."
D.W: "Actually, it's pretty positive. That song starts at that point when you're a teenager and you're uncertain of what your place is in life, or what the purpose of your existence is, and you're not getting along with your parents.
The city you live in sucks so you leave it and you end up living this seedy lifestyle. At the end of the song you realise what you actually had and why it was right, and you end up feeling positive and you go back home."
J.M: "Marriage. Politics. Therapy. With all this new-found maturity, are Sum 41 still a Pop-Punk band?
D.W: "Regardless of what you say you are, what everyone else says you are is what you are! We've said so many times that we're a rock band, but we'll always be a pop-punk band no matter what we say. To be honest, I really don't care anymore."
