Subject to Change vs. Underclass Hero

been listening to both lately and here is my verdict...

Underclass Hero: Has some great "jump about" vibes to it, and the lyrics are very punk style, but it really doesn't push my button. as the first single it needed more "umph" than lyrics about the same old thing.

Subject to Change: Much better than Underclass Hero, for a couple of reasons. as im not fond of metal, this song had some softer metal influences, and a more aggressive voice that suited the lyrics. the verses also sound alot better than underclass hero. the downside is the chorus was better recorded on underclass hero

your verdict?

1. Wrong section, moved to Sums.
2. There has already been a subject like this. However, I'll let this stay.

now i'm albe to say...Underclass Hero is the best song of the new album!
i think it's better than Subject To Change too.
I didn't like that much the song at the begining maybe cause i'd hear the chorus before.
now I know that Underclass Hero is the best one of the new record and i love it!
fans like me just don't like it that much because of the chorus.
that's my veridict..!

Haha, it's cool.

STC for the win. I hope people know that "subject to change" refers to NO REASON, not Underclass Hero.

oh yer i know, but because they used the same chorus, i wanted to see which song they liked the chorus in better, but "Subject to Change vs. Underclass Hero" sounded better than all that <<

Anyone else here "cake" after the second chorus of Subject to Change?

"We won't be bought and sold just like -- cake!"

Maybe it's just the version I downloaded, but I once I noticed that I couldn't ignore it.

I like Subject to Change better because it's more edgy. But in Underclass Hero the chorus is sung much better and it doesn't sound like it was made up of seperate chunks.

I'm gonna go with Underclass Hero. I just think it's better. Don't get me wrong, Subject To Change is a good b-side and probably should have replaced one of the songs on Chuck, but I just prefer the punk pop of Underclass Hero to Subject To Change.

I agree that Subject To change became No Reason. But IMO, the name Subject To Change was referring to Underclass Hero -song.

From Ultimate Guitar:
http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/intervie ... _make.html
In regards to the album’s title track is it true that is came from an unfinished version of a previous track off Chuck called No Reason?

Deryck: No, it came from a song called Subject To Change, and it was a demo song. The reason we called it Subject To Change was because it really never was a finished song. It never was a song that was like actually released on an album as it was basically a demo song.
From Q&A at the official site:
Question: hey guys, Underclass hero is a great song and everything, but me and a lot of other people are wondering why you used the same chorus from "subject to change"
---
Answer: we used it because we always planned to use it. the original song was just a demo that was called subject to change because it was always going to be changed. the chorus works better in this song now. so we used it.

Subject to Change is much better!
it's cool and aggressive and the intro is very cool!
Altough, to say the truth, the intro is also my favorite part of "Underclass Hero" but STC's intro was just better. Metal riff style, cool, aggressive, edgy and all the stuff said above, i just have to agree with that.

And too bad Subject to change was a demo, cuz it could really make it's way to the official record of Chuck, imo.

He doesn't say "cake" but he does say something besides "you"... might be "hey".

Yeah, because I was thinking "cake" was pretty random. But I'm glad I'm not the only one who was hearing something instead of "you."
