ok....what the hell are they, and how do they work?
and i've herd you need programs to...do something to them. what do you suggest (thats free)?

i use Utorrent.
just google it.
then you need a good torrent site to get the torrents (i use Demonoid)
torrents are also a great way to download movies.

i tried registering on demonoid but i cant either because hotmail or gmail won't receive emails from them, it just deletes anything demonoid sends.
any suggestions?

Yeah.. Torrents are awesome, been using them for years.
Best Client to use is Utorrent by far, it owns.
Go for demonoid if you know anyone hu can invite you.
If nt use mininova, torrentspy etc etc..
