The haters just can't stop themselves from talking, eh? It's become way too cool to hate Sum 41.

Dave was basically holding the band back. Deryck has every right to be bitter.

i believe what deryck says. I've felt that negativity with other guitar player in my band and it fucking sucks, u wanna fucking kill the guy coz of that negativity saying that everything that is not metal sucks. I'm happy that dave quited 'cause maybe if he was still here, underclass hero would've sucked cause deryck would've had to write songs that dave liked too instead of songs that deryck really felt they were good. It seems that dave's negativity influenced deryck in his song-writing over the past few years and that is not right. I always thought that dave was a great guitar player, way better than deryck, but he doesn't have what a guitar player needs to, the creativity and we can notice that with his band brown brigade. As deryck said "Even with the last record, his enthusiasm was so low that it brought us all down"; is something really good that dave left, otherwise they would've done a crappy album and nobody would've liked it

theres not realy anything to discuss, its simple the way I see it,
Dave didn't like the music SUM 41 were playing
He therefor had a negitive attitide, or whatver
Deryck and the other didnt want this in the studio, etc
Dave quit to do what he wanted, there for benifiting SUM 41 and himself
the end.

Iono as for creativity with the new cd maybe for the lame stuff with the piano which i dont really care about but whatever as for the guitar the new sum 41 isnt very creative the solos are just lame well the two of them i guess, the cds great its just not them at there best
Dave has alot of creativity especially in brown brigade i always considered solos to be the best parts of songs and thats what he did best in brown brigade which the solos are WAY better than anything he did in sum 41
i dont really care if he comes back or not either way dave makes good music whether its brown brigade or sum 41
