Yeah, Fake My Own Death is a pretty cool song, but kind of weak for a fist single (compare to immediate classics like Fat Lip, Still Waiting, We're All to Blame or SBM). It's not the first time that Derick tries to emulate (sometimes rips off ;-)) Linkin Park, but this time, it's just too much and soulless for me.
Can't wait to hear the album in full, btw.

Not really sure what to think of this song - I kinda feel like it goes nowhere. Some nice melodic parts though.

I like it, made me smile the whole time.

- It only resemble me of LP at the intro and outro, but I don't feel it's so overproduced like someone else said.
When a song is about "we", it can be really cheesy, but I think this could avoid that. Definitely pop-ish song so I can tell many will dislike it, but I enjoyed it.

I really can't get anything significant from the chorus and pre-chorus so I didn't attempt. There's gotta be more words in this than any other Sum 41 song

Aye man I agree, that intro sounds a bit like something david guetta would do
The song is not so bad though.
