Do you remember the first seasons of Torres in Liverpool? or in Atletico? He was a wonder kid, he had so much potencial, he could be the best striker in the world! And he was for less time than we expected. AVB always trust in him that's why he played much more when AVB was there than now because Di Matteo puts Drogba instead, right? (correct me if i'm wrong please). And in that 11 goals, any of those were important the final result? I remember when he scored 3 goals against i don't rembember who xD he scored against barça, i think it was the only goal decisive... This season wasn't lost but look: Abramovich paid 56M€ for him and what return did he get? Real Madrid paid 96M€ for Ronaldo and what return did he get? In one year, the millions they paid for ronaldo was sold in shirts! But I don't really think that this as a lot to do with what I was saying. We all expect a lot more from Torres, even you, i guess.
I went to a site and it says that Torres scored 9 goals, and not 11 like you've said. We are talking about his performance in Chelsea and not in his national team
he did score 11 goals for chelsea this season , believe me ;) and yes everyone is expecting a lot more from torres , but it is not that easy for him. This Season was a really tough one for chelsea,the player with the most goals was lampard and he only scored 16...the expectations were huge and torres just couldn't handle it ... it always takes a lot of time for a striker to adapt to the team , and like i said he had so much bad luck . everytime when it looked like he's getting the back to his old performance again something bad happend ,wich destroyed his confidence again (for example the goal against manU and the bad miss afterwards , or the goal against swansea and the red card afterwards). And when di matteo took over the team he really got better with each match.And yes he made a lot of important assists wich were important for the final results,wich shows how good he is..(second most assists in the team ,after mata).And the reason why drogba played so often , was because of drogbas ability to score very important goals in finals.. (9 finals 9 goals)
And btw Torres scored 23 goals in his first premier league season , wich is still a record ^^
I can't believe in you, I believe in facts! show me something that proves your point about his goals please. It's not easy for him? Have you seen his salary? He has the obligation to do a lot better! And it's like you said, Lampard scored 16 (AND HE IS A MIDFIELDER!! xD). It is true that he played better when di matteo took over the team!
And btw I said Torres promised a lot when he was younger (Atletico and Liverpool):

yup, this website proves your point! And your totally right, the site I saw earlier had the league goals and the champions goals... He scored 2 goals for Spain too that's why i said that you we're counting the national team goals

Maybe, but to see a team defend for 300 minutes ( Against both Barcelona and Munchen ) and end up winning the whole thing is plain disgusting.
No one said there was anything wrong with playing defense, but the way Chelsea played, it was a fuckin disgrace to football.

if there is nothing wrong with playing defense , how was it disgrace to footbal ;) ? what do you expect them to do ... playing offensive footbal against barcelona (wich would be clearly suicide) ? or being as stupid as bayern and playing so offensive in a champions league final ?
just look at inter milan's champions league win in 2010 ... those guys never even left their own side of the pitch ... in any game ^^

^ It's just footy dude, it happens in most leagues. People hate on teams with pure passion, a lot of the time because that team is better than theirs, or just for no apparent reason. Sporting rivalry. People are totally over the top about it.
