I can't seem to enjoy a whole song on this album. Many songs have very catchy and interesting parts, but the rest of the song is quite meh. Don't Count On The Wicked for example, the intro is awesome, the chorus is OK, but the verses feel dull.

But like I said, it's only the second day I'm listening to this. Next week I might think differently. :glad:

I didn't like the album at all, beside Viking Death March, after my first listening when they put it on their facebook wall. But today I returned to it, listened more carefully and I think it's a good piece of work. First favourite tracks: Viking Death March, Love Was Still Around and Swallowed Up By The Ocean. I also like the intro. Rate: 7/10

I really enjoy this new album. It's not like it beats Billy Talent I & II but still a great album. Favorite track is prob the Title track Dead Silence.

I listened to the album when I was working out, usually if something catches my attention I'll look at my iPod to see what the song is called. The only song that I liked a lot was "Hanging By A Threat" a lot seemed almost the same to me, but I'll give it another listen either tomorrow or Friday.

i thought this was cool, it's the studio sheet for the album. contains bonus track song titles, and working titles.

That sure is a cool thing to do. I wish Sums would show us the same. :glad:

After a week of listening to the album, some of the songs have turned out to be good ones. Hanging By A Thread, Don't Count On The Wicked and Runnin' Across The Tracks are my favorites. Surprise Surprise is an effective song to get stuck on your head, not sure yet if it's a good thing. :glad:
Haven't decided about Man Alive yet, could be too poppy for me. Dead Silence the song is slowly getting more of my attention, we'll see about that.

Still, I don't think it's their best work. Call me crazy, but I consider III to be their best album. Very solid work from start to end. Hard to say which one is better, DS or II.

Yeah, I also like III a lot more. I mean, this album is pretty solid, but it's nowhere near their best work. Can't decide if my favorite album by them is BT or BT III.

OK so after listening to the album again there's a lot of standout songs I like, but still Hanging By A Threat is my favorite, but this album did grow on me. I'm hoping that for 3DG's and Muse's new albums, but that hasn't happened yet....

Amazing new music video!
Sum 41 should have done something like this instead of the BYDWK video.

I disagree. I love BT and even though Dead Silence not their best album, there are some some decent and good songs on it... but this is so boring, both the song and the video.

I don't think this song is worth being a single, definitely not the strongest candidate in my books.

The video, I don't think it's that great, but I've seen worse aswell.

But finally, in my opinion, this is nowhere near Sum 41 style at all. I can't see the current Sum 41 having a video like this today. Especially not with SBM songs, and especially not with an upbeat rock'n'roll track like Baby.

Nor I would wish for it. I think it's too lame, even for a Sum-ballad.

I also like it (and fan of comics :D), although I prefer the first half of the song, the other half... I don't know, a little bit monotonic, repetitive as they sing the same lines.
I read somewhere this song represents the "old" BT style and the other new song on this Greatest Hits will show their new way. I'm really curious. :)

When I saw this song pop up on my Facebook news feed I got excited and thought that Billy Talent was going to come out with a new album. Regardless, I quite enjoy the song. I recently listened to Devil In A Midnight Mass for the first time in a long time and... holy hell I love that riff.

Their new song, Chasing the Sun: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-Rb_kiZDGc

I guess many fans won't like it, I imagined something else too... But I like it, it has a nice, pleasant tune.
But now I want more, I'm really waiting for a new album. :ohshiz:

I quite like it. I don't now if they've ever done a song like that before, so it's nice to hear something different.

Like most of you know, Aaron Solowoniuk the drummer has been dealing with the MS disease for 15 years now. Today, he announced he would be stepping away from the drums to concentrate on getting healthy. Jordan Hastings from Alexisonfire will be recording the drums for the new album.

Yeah, they're coming to Budapest, Hungary in June!
This year is so great (musically): last week Imagine Dragons, June Billy Talent (hopefully with new songs), August Sum 41. :2cool4u: I just wish for Hollywood Undead (I've got REALLY into them for a few months), they're coming to Europe tour, but bypass Hungary... maybe one of summer festival...

New single, Afraid of Heights!
http://www.altpress.com/features/entry/ ... c.facebook

Can't say I love it, it really sounds like the last album, which is not bad, had some really good tracks. I'm just not really fan of that vibe, I prefer previous albums' sound.
Nonethless, I'm really excited and July 29th is not far away at all! And before that, a concert here in Hungary, maybe they'll play some new stuff.

Hm, it's alright. A bit lacklustre, much like the new Blink-182 song. I haven't really payed close attention to Billy Talent since II was released. Everything after that just blurs together with no songs really standing out to me.
